I use my own Spanish curriculum for ages 8-16, however, I also help students with improving their grades in Spanish class.
Some of the topics in my curriculum include the Spanish alphabet, greetings and introductions, school, telling time, adjectives, activities, food, etc.
The structure of the class is:
- introduce new vocabulary or grammar with notes (I make sure to engage students while note-taking by adding group practice activities in between slides)
- practice pronunciation of new vocabulary/grammar in between note-taking
- guided practice, which can include speaking, games, matching activities, etc.)
- individual practice, which can include writing/answering questions or using the chat box on zoom to answer a question
I will use Google Slides and the Zoom whiteboard to teach. I sometimes use nearpod.com for interactive slides and boom cards from boomlearning.com.
Students receive a PDF of the materials I use.
I have an engaging teaching style where I incorporate games and discussion with the students. In that sense, we interact often throughout the lesson, but I also have students take notes.
You can purchase a package of 6 lessons which would only get through the Preliminary Unit or you can join the subscription and can cancel at any time.
